My endless search for good breakfast in Pasadena is looking promising. Julienne's on mission and los robles gets an 'A' for ambience, and has a couple dishes worthy of mention.
My favorite was the lemon crème bruleé scone. Second place goes to the crème bruleé french toast. Not much could be done to make these two better.
The rest, such as the parmesan crusted potato cake with pached eggs, guac and salsa needed some textural variance. Too much creamy ontop of creamy. Similarly, the breakfast sandwich, although well cooked was lacking something.
Breakfast is looking better and better.
